One of the most common issues I see in clinic is chronic digestive discomfort. Whatever people are coming for whether it be chronic pain or some other condition, digestive dysfunction is pretty commonly a part of the whole picture. When we are out of balance our digestive system is always affected in some way. And before our body can truly heal, it must be able to take in nutrition to nourish and strengthen our bodies. So healing our digestion is a high priority for me as a clinician.

Two easy ways to boost your digestion are:

  1. PLEASE Stop drinking ice water with you meals! This slows down every aspect of your digestion.
  2. Try drinking fresh ginger tea first thing in the morning to warm and kick start your digestion.

A wonderful herbal remedy that i have recently started carrying in my clinic is called Microguard that really helps restore digestive resilience and comfort.

Microgard by Botanical Biohacking is an imperial grade herbal formula containing botanical extracts that promote healthy digestion, dissolve phlegm and mucus, regulate fluid metabolism, breakdown biofilm, and inhibit adverse fungal growth. The ingredients also help promote expression of digestive enzymes (amylase, lipase, protease) and gently increase gastric motility.

Traditionally used for relief from:

Helps your body to break down fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. Helps you produce more enzymes. Gently assists with intestinal movement and elimination; restores gastrointestinal microbiome diversity and decreases candida yeast species.

For when you eat something you shouldn’t have (or if you used to eat a lot of those things); or if your GI system is overloaded with the effects of chronic digestive problems.

Absolves dietary sins (Gluten, Greasy food, Alcohol). Reverses the affects of the “American Diet”.

Come in soon and see how a combination of acupuncture and herbal biohacking can help you to feel better!
